Changing my Life in 28 Days – Part 2
We’ve now reached the second week of my journey to change my life. Unfortunately, I lost a life on the very first day, but I decided to keep pushing forward and give it my all. My skill for this week was learning basic German, with the goal of visiting a restaurant and ordering in German.
My adventure was attending a festival in Chur called “Langer Samstag”. We initially thought it would be more of a traditional festival, but it turned out to be a series of exhibits, which was somewhat disappointing. To make the video more engaging, I added a humorous voiceover to explain our experiences, as the day felt a bit unstructured. Lastly, I challenged myself to go to a nightclub completely sober, something I’d never done before, to push myself out of my comfort zone.

Self-Reflection
This week, I learned that better planning would have made a big difference. At times, I jumped into activities without fully research, like the festival we attended. I also felt I could have come up with more exciting ideas to push myself further out of my comfort zone. Additionally, I didn’t record much footage, so the video ended up being more talk-heavy than usual, which worked fine but was a departure from my typical style.
Challenges
It was difficult to come up with fun and adventurous activities, as they required more time than I had available. I likely overwhelmed myself by taking on too many tasks at once. Some days, I barely managed to complete everything before it was time to sleep. I also wanted to film inside the nightclub and share my feelings in the moment, but I found it challenging to record in public spaces, especially without the confidence boost of alcohol.
What I Learned
This week taught me the importance of thorough planning rather than relying on spontaneity, which I’ve generally been good at. I discovered I’m better at creating voiceovers than I expected, which added a unique touch to the video. I also realized I need to capture more footage, whether it’s sharing my thoughts during the moment or gathering additional B-roll to enhance the storytelling.
